Post-Summer Sass

Wearing a denim top (SHOPBOP.com) with a short A-Line skirt (Topshop) that I wore with tights because that is just simply a MUST in the Fall time! I love my cute little oxfords and snug-fit circle scarf that add a little sass to this outfit!

SARAH MIAN: Country Chic

Country Chic

Growing up in a rural town a.k.a. the middle of nowhere, I spent a lot of time outdoors doing what the stereotypical country kid does - rolling around hay bails. Well not exactly but something along those times. We actually had this fort made of stacks and stacks of hay bails that I thought was the greatest thing ever. But now that I think about it, we were pretty much intrigued by a tick-infested pile of horse feed, haha. Enough about my questionable childhood, lets get to the outfit.

This outfit is affordable and simple to style. I just paired a quilt-knit sweater (that's unbelievably soft) with a pair of medium washed distressed jeans. For footwear I chose caramel ankle boots and matched it with an Aldo striped bag. To accessorize I just wore a few simple gold rings and necklace that you can see in the pic.

I love the zipper on these skinnies, it gives these jeans a little something extra.

Now on to shoes shoes shoes! You won' believe how comfortable these Aldo boots are until you try them on...they're really snug and soft and I think I can officially say I know what it feels like to walk on clouds *_*

For this look, I folded the jeans just above the boots which draws attention to the pant zipper and style of boot. Love this style for fall, lets you embrace the last few moments to feel the breeze before the winter chill rolls in.

SARAH MIAN: Too Cute for Combat

Too Cute for Combat

I've been really into the military look and all of the unique military jackets styles that have come out. This look is really easy to pull off and suits just about anyone. I paired my black skinnies with a plain white tee, combat boots, black scarf & handbag. And lets not forget the focal point of this outfit - the military jacket. (The colour is a bit off,  its more of a green shade)

This outfit is comfortable and perfect for long days. Its casual enough for school yet still fitting for a lunch date or running errands.

I currently have an uncontrollable addiction to all sorts of military jackets in different styles and colors but I was particularly drawn to this Zara jacket by its Aztec printed pockets at the front and the design covering the greater portion of the back. I thought it was quite unique and just had to add it to my collection.

As you probably know, infinity/circle scarves are a big hit. I got this textured black infinity scarf that I particularly like because its not overwhelmingly large. Its cute and snug and not to mention soft as clouds *_*

Love me a pair of rustic combat boots to give any outfit a little edge.

Game-Day Ready

Fall is probably my favorite time of the year and it has much to do with the oversized sweaters and being able to dress stylish yet super comfortable and weather appropriate. For this look, I'm wearing a varsity muscle tee with leather leggings and a blue knit cardigan. Wine-red shoes and bag complimented this outfit perfectly.

tee - Forever 21
leather leggings: Mango
shoes: Vans
backpack: Little Burgundy
cardigan: boohoo.com

SARAH MIAN: Just Me & My Converse

Just Me & My Converse

Getting dolled up and conquering my daily tasks in the perfect pumps are nice but so are casual Friday's in ripped denim and Chuck Taylors. When it comes to Converse, white is versatile and my all time favourite, I can't even tell you how many pairs I've ever owned. Converse are an easy casual go-to but I'm interested in seeing if any of you have tried dressing them up. Share in the comments below!

Today was also one of those days where no matter what you're doing or who you're meeting, make-up is just out of the question. Well, close enough; BB cream is always necessary for that summer glow!  I envy people with blemish free and perfectly toned skin.  Ever since I started wearing foundation on a regular basis, I've noticed that my skin is not at it's best. Maintaining healthy skin requires persistence, a good diet and hydration which is a lot harder than it sounds. Hopefully the detox I'm starting soon will deliver the visible results I'm looking for!

Appropriately Preppy

Mendocino skirtGuess heels, H&M tights, DIY studded blouse, Forever 21 sunnies

Happy Thanksgiving to all you American's out there celebrating! I hope you're with your loved ones burrowed inside enjoying yourselves and staying warm. Although Canadian Turkey Day has passed, I felt that dressing in the holiday spirit was still fitting! As you can probably tell from previous posts, I'm lovin' the tartan trend this Fall.

Tigers & Tartan: Look of the Day

As Autumn creeps towards Winter, the weather gets uncomfortably chilly and all I want to do is curl up in bed with a good book and a latte in hand. But since that can only be a dream and I must still venture out in the chilly world, dressing chic is a must. This outfit combines comfort with the right amount fierce to get through the day. For this look, I wore green and blue tartan pants with a comfortable fleece sweater. The gold chain-trim bag from Forever 21 adds a little glam. These Zara leather ankle lace-up boots are to die for - defiantly a Fall favourite, I would wear them everyday if I could!

Burgundy Bliss: Look of the Day

I hope you're all enjoying your weekend! For this look, I'm wearing eggplant-burgndundy high wasted pants with a geometric printed cropped sweater. For those chilly days, a jacket is necessary, so I picked out my H&M peacoat with elegant gold rimmed buttons.
