Marc Anthony Macadamia Oil Product Review

As the cool brisk air  flows through my hair I can’t help but image all the damage my poor locks undergo throughout the ruthless months of Winter. The right products are important for maintaining healthy hair and skin during these months and you may find yourself having to switch products to accommodate the weather change. A line of hair products that I find works great to keep hair healthy is the Marc Anthony Macadamia Oil line. You can find these products at Target, Walmart, Shoppers Drug Mart and pretty much anywhere hair products are sold. There are four products that I absolutely cannot live without:

Product Rating: ♥♥♥♥

The Shampoo is a really silky and somewhat thick formula, you’ll only need a small palm-full amount per wash. Massage it into your scalp to nourish the roots, working best with warm water. It’s also sulfate free, which mean that there are no added chemicals that turns the shampoo into a thicker lather when mixed with water, but nonetheless it has the same cleansing effect. You defiantly want to use sulfate free hygiene products to avoid health risks from the unnecessary chemicals like hair loss or dry and damaged hair which is the result of the sulfates removing too much of the natural and essential hair oils. This shampoo is also perfect for coloured hair because without the added chemicals, the colour will last longer!

The conditioner has the consistency as many other hair conditioners. You only need a small amount applied to the lengths of your hair, focusing on the ends. You don’t want to massage it into your scalp because it’ll leaving it looking greasy. The shampoo also leaves the roots nourished so you don’t have to worry about a dry scalp! It works best when rinsed with cool water and leaves your hair feeling extremely soft, believe me!

The ‘dry styling oil’ is a hair serum that can be applied to damp or dry hair. I suggest applying it to dry hair because I have found that it doesn’t have the same effect on wet hair. Applying it to dry hair allows you to see the effects instantly, whereas on wet hair, you won’t know if it looks too greasy until it dries completely.  The bottle suggests you need 1-3 drops, which means drops, not pumps! A little goes a long way. It’s an oil, which pretty explicitly suggests an oily texture, and if too much is applied it will just leave you with a greasy mess.

When styling your hair, I suggest you apply a drop to your hair before and after to give it that healthy shine. I highly recommend this product, even if you don’t use the shampoo/conditioner because it gives a naturally healthy look and feel and effective in reducing frizz and fly aways.

This deep healing conditioning treatment is perfect for restoring and preserving hair! It’s a weekly shower treatment that you apply throughout your hair after shampooing, instead of the regular conditioner. Apply it from roots to ends and massage it into your scalp. Five minutes usually does the trick!

Overall, all of these products are highly effective in doing what they’re meant to do, especially when used together. It’s perfect all year long but especially during the cool temperatures when your hair is prone to damage.

What do you guys think of these products? Leave a comment, I’d love to hear from you.
